Gaudi Chair. The Catenaria of carbon fiber

At first glance, this chair may seem out of a science fiction film, but in reality it is a real design inspired by the work of the teacher Antoni Gaudí. Bridge of the week: Traversina Step II

In March 1999, an avalanche of rocks destroyed the Traversina Steg I. From misfortune came a new opportunity for designers Conzett Bronzini Gartmann. After analyzing the accident, it was decided to build a new walkway 70 m away from the former location. These developments inspired a different structure than the first but just as bold.

The Trift bridge in the Swiss Alps

Over the Thrift glacier tip in the Swiss Alps, this year, has been constructed a spectacular suspension bridge. The 170 meters long bridge describe a perfect Catenary over a 100 meters above the glacier. Mapungubwe Interpretation Center in South Africa

Man On Wire – The man who defied Vacuum II

Second post about the documentary Man On Wire (here the first) with which we complete the story of Phelippes Petit and his feat of walking across the twin towers on a cable over supsendido 400 meters.
